After spending Friday and most of Saturday photographing weddings this bank holiday weekend, I went camping for the Saturday and Sunday night with friends and family in the small village of Wool, in Dorset. We arrived at the camp site at about 11pm and were greeted with beer, a bonfire and a completely clear sky full of stars! I noticed that the bonfire smoke was lit by the warm glow of the fire below making for a really gorgeous star scape opportunity. So I got the tripod out and set up some exposures. These were shot at 35mm, f1.4. 30 seconds, ISO 200 (settings changed slightly from one shot to the next but that was about right).
Just imagine how many other worlds there might be out there? Crazy huh?
